Let’s Improve Education For The Girl Child

Education is the only way forward to provide a better future for the girls in India.

Neha and Ankita would love to go to school and one day grow up and get a good job so that they will not have to work hard like their mother in the fields.

"I would love to become a midwife", says Neha. When we asked her why she said, "So that I can preserve lives...so that nobody kills them even before they are born".

Hundreds of thousands of girls are aborted in their mother's wombs way before they see 'the light of this world'. Its heartbreaking and vicious yet it happens everyday. There is no one who hears the cries of these unborn children. So its heart rending when you hear girls like Neha say that they want to grow up to protect the girl child. We wish we could empower many more of such brave girls with education.
